Sadly due to contract problems we will not be attending Game 2007 at Manchester, but we WILL be there next year.

Now some advance news - We are going to Salute 2007 which is on the 25th and 26th August 2007 and is on at the new exhibition centre in Swords, Co. Dublin. It is going to be the biggest re-enactors event in Ireland. they have teamed up with the IMVG and will have lots of Military vehicles on display. It will be an interesting place to visit over the August Bank Holiday so Note your diary now.

Lots more events coming up so watch this space.....

Hi and how did your week end go? Michael (our web-site wizard) and myself went to the South-East Garden show in Piltown, Co. Kilkenny. It was wet.
This was the first outing of our mobile demo factory, and the awnings proved to be very useful as protection from the downpours. Between these torrents, we met some wonderful people and several youngsters displayed their painting talents as we now try to let you make and paint a model on site. it is proving very popular and the standard is very good. One 6 year old painted a couple of dogs from our Engliush Hunting scene which drew admiring glances from many other young modellers.
Must speak to boss man and get a digital camera and record some of these aspiring modellers, beware Eileen and Peta in our painting dept. the next generation is coming.
Now the reason for the heading, RTE's Nationwide team were at the venue on Friday and dodging downpours they interviewed some of the stall holders, which included Yours Truly, it has NOT gone to my head (autographs will be signed later) If they are using the clip it will be going out today - Monday25th June - set your video timers at once.
Friday 29th June for three days we are going to MALLOW RACECOURSE to an exhibition there. I will be doing \Friday and Sunday and the boss-man is going to be there on Saturday 30th.
So come along and say hello, at least so that i know someone reads this.......
until then happy casting

The New Season Starts.
Hi how are all you hobby-casters out there? All refreshed from the Sun? Looking forward to getting back to your casting? Well I am getting ready to go on the road again. The trailer is now on the way to being set up as we need it. It will be getting its next outing over the weekend of 25th/26th August.

SALUTE 2007 - The New Exhibition Centre - Swords - Co. Dublin

It is a new venture involving the Irish Motor Vehicle Group and several re-enactment groups. I understand that amongst the displays will be the Connaught Rangers, a Roman Legion (well some any way) and an airborne group will be dropping in! Of course I will be there with the chance for you to make a model and paint it.

You will be able to see our exciting NEW range of Romans, which are proving very popular.

It sounds like a great day out, if you look up the site, you will get a full tiometable of the events. There is something happening most of both days. It sounds as if it is going to become one of the Major attractions in Dublin and i am looking forward to seeing the new exhibition site.

Remember if you wish to order any of our products and collect them from this, or any other show, just let us know a few days in advance and I will have it with me.

For those of you in the South-East of England- I will be at Euro-Militaire in the Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone, Kent. this is on 22nd/23rd September 2007. It is the largest show for modellers. the exhibits for the painting sections are of a fabulous standard. More of that later. Check out the site.

Until the next update - happy modelling.

Euro militaire is on in FOLKESTONE, Kent. At the prestigious Leas Cliff Pavillion. This show is a must for all model makers. All the big name model companies are there and the highlight of the show is the judging of the painting of the models. Some of them have to be seen to be believed. Oh that I could paint that well.
I shall be able to demonstrate and you will be able to try your hand at painting a model. Uncle Lars, the boss< has promised a prize to the person who has made the best effort at the venue, on one of our models. You cant have better than that.
Again, if you are attending and want some supplies, let the shop know by Tuesday 18th and i will bring it with mke and see you there. Lots of saving on postage.

We are well into negotiations to attend the Malvern Military Show at the 3 Counties Showground, along with Dublin Craft Fair at the RDS. Dublin

I have just returned from a very enjoyable week end at Euro Militaire. Having taken one of Ireland's top modellers entry to the event, I had the pleasure of collecting his GOLD medal, for a superb boxed diorama
This will be on display at the Irish Model soldiers Show in May 2008, which as it is the society's 50th anniversary is being held in Dublin Castle. A superb venue with a large number of competitors and traders already stating their intentions to attend. Yours Truly will be there.
We met a large number of new and old casters at the show and the feedback was very interesting.
Next stop that hads been booked is the three Counties Military Fair in Malvern, Staffordshire, U.K. on sunday Nov 18th. There will also be a small display at Clontarf Castle, Dublin on the same day. A good chance to get any christmas pressies for your modelling friends and relatives.
I am sure that we will be attending some other shows in the meantime, so happy casting and will update you soon.
