New Fairy Moulds in September 2018 by Prince August
New Fairy moulds

Prince August has released in September 2018 three new fairy moulds to cater to hobby casting enthusiasts that prefer non military themed moulds. These are 60mm approximately in scale and are flat figures. Unlike the previous fairy mould, these are not fridge magnets and they have a small base on which they can stand. There is no assembly required after casting. There is detail on both sides of the figures and that detail is not identical.
The names of the three fairies are (PA1928) Daisy, (PA1929) Rose and (PA1930) Lily.

Seven Years War Austrian Cuirassier moulds released July 2018

Seven Years War Austrian Cuirassiers moulds release July 2018
Seven Years War Austrian Cuirassiers moulds
Prince August has expanded beyond foot and cannon moulds for their historical Seven Years War series of 40mm scale semi-flat rubber moulds. Now they have added cavalry. These are Austrian Cuirassier cavalry. The horse is cast separately and you can add riders of your choice to that casting to create four different troops, including the Officer, Standard, Trooper and Trumpeter.

To help explain how to cast these new innovative moulds Prince August has made a video on the topic too.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mO1Flg6MZg
These make excellent additions to the Prussian, Austrian, Austrian-Hungarian, French, Russian and Artillery moulds already available in this Seven Years War series.

Mithril June '18 releases | Watcher at Cirith Ungol & Easterling king

MZ644 Watcher at Cirith Ungol Mithril Miniature
MZ644 Watcher at Cirith Ungol
Mithril Miniatures has released two more 32mm scale metal miniatures in June 2018. The first one is the Watcher at Cirith Ungol, part of a pair of ancient immobile sentries that guard the gate to that dread fortress. Through sheer force of will these sentient entities prevent enemies passing between them. Tolkien desribed them as seated figures, three headed, with the likeness of a vulture and with claw-like hands.
This was March 2017's winning idea and was originally suggested by 'barliman'.

The 2nd release is the Easterling king, a leader of one of the warlike tribes usually following a nomadic and pastoral lifestyle, who from time to time had conflicts with Gondor and Rohan. This leader was given one of the nine magic rings that eventually would corrupt him and turn him into a Nazgul.
This was July 2017's winning idea and was suggested by 'Khador'.
There are only 100 of each of these produced. Both need some assembly and they are not primed.

Mithril Miniatures has released a new vignette at the end of May 2018. This piece has many parts and consists of a Lorien boat, a display base, equipment and supplies, Gimli the Dwarf and Legolas the Elf. It depicts a segment in the Fellowship's journey to destroy the One Ring, after they stopped off at Lothlorien for respite. They were given three boats to continue their dangerous journey to the Black land as well as supplies to aid them. Gimli and Legolas shared one of these Elven craft.

This is a 32mm scale metal vignette and is not primed and will require assembly.

New Release | Half-orc Hornist Fellowship figure

Half-orc Hornist
Half-orc Hornist MZ646
This figure was the winning idea from May 2017. This figure had some production issues at the beginning so there was a delay in releasing it, as it was due for release in Jan or February. Mithril finally released it in March 2018. There are 100 made. No assembly is required and the figure is not primed.
The Half-orc was one of two main forces available to Saruman during his attack on Rohan and during his defence of Isengard from the Ents. They were created from true Orcs and Dunlendings. This musician uses his Dunlending horn to pass orders from his commander onto his troops.

You can find out more about the Half-orc Hornist here.

Fantastic Bundle Deal for Easter 2018

Easter 2018 Bundle Deal
Easter Bundle Deal
Prince August has released two more Easter Decoration moulds in March 2018. These extend the range that already has four Easter moulds, bringing the new total to six. These are extremely easy to cast with and there is a video available here to demonstrate that clearly.

To make it easier for new collectors of these moulds or new customers to hobby casting itself, Prince August has created a fantastic bundle deal that will remain available until the start of April 2018.
This bundle contains the following:
  • All six Easter Decoration moulds.
  • 10 Ingots of Model Metal (1.25 kg of metal)
  • Solder Melting Pot (UK or EU plug variant). This can be removed from bundle if desired.
  • Kit 2000 Casting Accessories pack.
  • Super Snipper tool for removing cleanly any ingates from castings.
  • A metal file for cleaning up any rough edges after removing ingates.
  • A set of three different sized quality paint brushes.
  • A set of paint pots with 2 small brushes.
  • Casting instructions.
The price for all this is just 80.49 Euro exclusive of tax or 99 Euro inclusive of Irish tax.
If you remove the solder pot from the bundle the price drops by 24 Euro including tax.

To give you an idea just how great a deal this is, the six moulds ALONE would cost 93 Euro with tax. So for a mere 6 Euro more you get all the rest.

January 2018 Releases: Treebeard and Azog 32mm metal figures.

Mithril Miniatures has started the year 2018 off with two more exciting figures that won previous fellowship voting months. The first is Treebeard at Isengard. Treebeard is a well known Ent, tree like that are guardians of several Middle-earth forests. They are rare and Saruman's minions are destroying Fangorn Forest for his war production. Treebeard and other Ents finally attack and destroy those furances and war machinery in Isengard in retaliation for such despoiling and killing of trees (some were intelligent).

The second release was Azog™ with the head of Thror™. Azog was an Orc commander and Thror was a Dwarvish king. Azog claimed the ancient Dwarvish home in Moria (Khazad-dûm) and his actions caused a long sequence of conflicts between Goblins and Dwarves.

Both figures are 32mm in scale and are not primed and will require a little assembly.
